About Power Links Golf

As a former University of Illinois golfer, Power Links Golf founder Lauren Mead Ludden began working at JPMorgan Chase with an invaluable advantage: the ability to competitively play golf with male clients and co-workers. And regardless of whether she was playing to her handicap or having the “worst round of her life,” Lauren was always granted the unique opportunity to strengthen business relationships and build longstanding friendships with clients.  She noticed, however, that many women missed out on that opportunity because they were unfamiliar with the game of golf.

Others in Lauren's business career also noticed this pattern in their line of work, and have encouraged Lauren to begin changing the male-dominated social dynamic that exists in the game of golf.  “I am excited to be a part of Power Links because I truly believe golf is a valuable business tool for professional women,” Ludden says. “Golf is a great way to network with colleagues and build relationships with clients in an informal, fun environment."

Power Links was developed out of a deep passion and belief that more women need to become comfortable using golf as a business networking tool.  Our mission is to tear down the social barriers that exist on the golf course by making golf more accessible to professional women.  Power Links also aims to hold the golf industry accountable for how they treat women by allowing professional women the opportunity to share experiences and publish reviews about courses, pros, and other golf-related vendors.
