Paula Creamer Sunglasses: Practical AND Fashionable! Print E-mail

It wasn’t until I started seeing those frightening signs of aging creeping onto my perfectly tanned face that I decided to start wearing a hat on the golf course.  Yes, I’m embarrassed to admit that it was vanity, not health concerns, that forced me to start protecting my skin from the sun’s harmful rays.

This unconditional love affair with the sun is a problem with which many people struggle.  It pains me to no longer be the beautifully bronzed goddess I remember being years ago, and I often find that free spirited girl inside me saying: “Screw it!  What’s the big deal with a few unprotected hours in the sun?”    But then the vision of wrinkles and freckles and outrageous dermatologist bills quickly snap me back to reality; I throw on my hat and lather on Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 70 with Helioplex (as recommended by my dermatologist), and enjoy the warmth of the sun instead of the visible results.

Notice that I have yet to mention anything about sunglasses... Well, do you remember my reasoning for protecting my skin from the sun? You’re correct- vanity.  So there are three reasons why I don’t wear sunglasses on the golf course: 1) fashionable glasses fall off my face when I swing; 2) I don’t like the look of sport glasses; and 3) my eyes aren’t visibly aging from the sun.  Vanity wins once again!

Two weeks ago, however, I added sunglasses into my sun protection regimen on the golf course.  All I can say is thank goodness for Paula Creamer and Sun Dog Eyewear- FINALLY, someone understands the needs of a female golfer!! These glasses are the perfect combination of sporty functionality and impractical fashion: http://www2.sundogeyewear.com/index.php?page=paula-creamer.  They’re comfortable, fit perfectly under my hat, and look great.

So, again, I want to send my sincere appreciation to Paula Creamer for finally knocking some sense into sunglasses manufacturers, and I want to thank Sun Dog Eyewear for listening to what women want.  Oh… and thanks for saving my eyes!
